This is crazy. Mix 1/4 cup Listerine (any kind but I like the blue), 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup of warm water. Soak feet for 10 minutes and when you take them out the dead skin will practically wipe off.

Mice (new): Peppermint oil is a natural deterrent.You can get peppermint oil in most health food stores 
and even some major grocery stores, but get the oil, not the diluted extract. The
smell is simply too intense for rodents and they will not try to go near it. It also helps to mask the scent of any tasty morsels that have been missed when cleaning.
